From earliest childhood, Annette Mahon has loved books and cherished a secret desire to write them. Being of a practical nature, however, she studied English in college, then procured her master's degree in Library Science. She worked for many years as a librarian, retiring after her first child was born so that she could be a full-time mom. She began writing when her children grew older. When not writing, Annette likes to read and to quilt, designing her own Hawaiian quilt wall hangings. She is also active in her children's school and her church. A native of Hilo, Hawaii, Annette now lives in Arizona with her husband, three daughters, and a Dalmation named Dottie. She and her family travel to Hawaii frequently to visit her many relatives there.
