Lisa Bannerman accepts a job at the Lunenburg Whaler, a half-finished motel masquerading as a country inn. Clinton Daniels, manager, conceals his true identity as highly paid trouble-shooter amd heir to a multi-national corporation. When the inn is about to close for the winter, Lisa gets the idea of romance weekends, similar to mystery weekends, to keep it open--and to keep her near Clinton. She writes the scripts and through hard work and imagination makes the inn profitable. Then she discovers who Clinton really is, and later reads in the newspaper that the inn is for sale. Can Lisa ever trust Clinton again? Can a fictional romance turn into real love?
