AN AVALON ROMANCE
A Nest of One’s Own
by Marsha Driscoll

Feisty science teacher Paula Rosewood is ready to take on anyone who threatens her beloved Hadley Nature Preserve, including the ethanol producer who plans to put in a plant next door. Her friends Sean and Sarah Brady convince her to work with water treatment expert Ned Andersen to develop a wildlife management program that will benefit everyone. Working with Ned leads to more than Paula bargained for, and she finds herself falling in love with the handsome widower.

The road to happiness is not an easy one for Ned and Paula; too much unresolved grief keeps them apart. Only with patience, courage, and perseverence will their love succeed. Like the energetic little house wrens in the nature preserve, Paula and Ned learn that sometimes one must leave a refuge behind to find a nest of one's own.

Marsha Driscoll first worked as a schoolteacher, then spent nearly twenty years practicing as a licensed psychologist before changing careers to become a writer. She enjoys combining her love of nature with her interest in human relationships. A transplant from West Virginia to North Carolina, she now lives in Columbus, Ohio, with her husband and three teenage daughters.

A Nest of One's Own is her second novel for Avalon.
